Ingredients:

1 pound (450 grams) ground beef (80% lean)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 hamburger buns
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, etc.
Instructions:

Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix the ingredients together, being careful not to overwork the meat. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) thick.

If using a grill, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking. Place the patties on the preheated grill or pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or adjust the cooking time according to your preference.

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the hamburger buns. You can do this on the grill or in a toaster.

Once the patties are cooked to your liking, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes.

Assemble your hamburgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Add your desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise. Place the top half of the bun on top.
