Ingredients:

1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
Fresh basil leaves
Extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to the highest temperature setting (usually around 500°F or 260°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as well.

Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. If using store-bought dough, follow the instructions on the package.
Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a pizza peel or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.

Arrange the sliced mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Tear or chop the fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the cheese.

Drizzle some extra-virgin olive oil over the pizza, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven or onto the preheated pizza stone.
